Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City presenters  Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West

Kim Kardashian West Kanye West were spotted at the scene of the  Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, ready to present at the event. 

WSJ. Magazine hosted its ninth annual Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.  Nine pioneering talents, all of whom grace eight separate covers of the magazine’s highly anticipated November issue, were honored among more than 250 guests for their groundbreaking accomplishments in their respective disciplines. Selected by WSJ. Magazine editors, the honorees were: Julianne Moore (Acting & Activism), Cindy Sherman (Art), Studio KO (Design), Eddie Murphy (Entertainment), Riccardo Tisci (Fashion), Melina Matsoukas (Film), Tyler, The Creator (Music), and Bryan Stevenson (Social Justice). Each winner was presented with an award designed by the 2011 Design winner, Joris Laarman. WSJ.’s November Innovators issue will be available in the U.S. on Saturday, November 9th. Harry Winston and Remy Martin sponsored this year’s event.

Some of the many nominees to attend were: Acting & Activism / Julianne Moore  The Academy Award-winning actress has inhabited an inimitable range of characters, appearing in 70-plus films. Beyond Hollywood, Moore has also channeled her voice into one of her most notable roles yet: activist. Presenter: Bette Midler.  Art / Cindy Sherman  For four decades, the artist has been reinventing the portrait, using her shape-shifting self as her photographic subject and, in the process, exploring our obsession with self-image and identity. 

Eddie Murphy In the coming year, the legendary performer and star of the new movie Dolemite Is My Name will host Saturday Night Live, bring back two of his most beloved film franchises and ready himself for a much-anticipated return to stand-up comedy. Presenter: Jerry Seinfeld - Fashion / Riccardo Tisci Burberry, a brand as British as Buckingham Palace, is now led by the fearless Italian designer. His street-inspired style and inclusive approach could propel the $10.5 billion company beyond gabardine. Presenters: Celebrity Kim Kardashian West and Singer, Song writer, designer  Kanye West were spotted at the carpet dressed to impress.
